Our Exercise Physiologists are highly qualified and recognized as leaders in their field. They specialize in helping clients with various chronic diseases and medically related health concerns improve their overall health and wellness.


  • Clinic Director

    JONATHAN DUBBERLEY is the director of the Online Exercise Clinic and a Certified Exercise Physiologist with over 20 years of experience helping clients with chronic health conditions achieve their health and fitness goals. He was trained in one of Canada’s largest teaching hospitals where he dedicated his career to providing compassionate evidence-based care to individuals with chronic diseases and disabilities. In addition to his clinical work, he has held numerous leadership positions including Manager and Clinical Coordinator for regional cardiac rehabilitation programs as well as Practice Leader for Kinesiology. His expertise in the field of clinical exercise science has been widely recognized and he has served on professional regulatory bodies where he played significant roles in developing the profession’s core competencies and entrance examinations.

    Jonathan is actively involved in research. His research interests include exploring how different exercise protocols influence outcomes and adherence and how technology can be incorporated into exercise rehabilitation programs to increase access and optimize care.

    He has mentored numerous students and medical residents on how to prescribe exercise to patients with a broad array of chronic medical conditions and his current goal is to provide hospital-grade exercise counselling directly to you in the comfort of your home.

    When he is not working, Jonathan can be found running, cycling, and living an active lifestyle with his family in beautiful Kamloops British Columbia.


  • Lead Exercise Physiologist

    JENNIFER BURK is an accomplished Exercise Physiologist, researcher, and educator with over 10 years of clinical hospital-based experience. She specializes is working with clients who have a broad array of chronic health conditions including cardiovascular disease, stroke, and spinal cord injuries. Her background as an educator, specifically a high-school science teacher, allows her to break down complex medical diagnoses and terminology for her clients and gives her the unique ability to communicate on a personal level missing from many of today’s healthcare interactions.

    In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer frequently offers her time to the community advocating for the benefits of exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. She is recognized as a leader in the field of clinical exercise science, and has contributed her knowledge and expertise to developing professional licensing examinations.

    Jennifer’s academic history includes a Master’s degree in cardiovascular health and doctorate work. She authored a landmark paper on the benefits of exercise in patients after stroke and her research interests also include exploring the effects of varying exercise protocols on the post-stroke population and how exercise influences the health of the cardiovascular system.

    Jennifer is a runner and cyclist and has completed numerous half-marathons. She currently resides in beautiful Kamloops British Columbia.
